Thanks for this Patrick. It seems to have worked and now I am happily
listening to music at work, with SlimServer printing out errors to the
dos screen.

However, I'm hoping that the above info might be useful as I'm guessing
that a plugin should not be able to stop SlimServer from playing music
(but then, what do I know?).

Ok - the change will only take effect if you run 'slimserver.pl' from the cmd
prompt. I can build you a new .exe file if that's easier.

I don't know how to run slimserver.pl
You're not the only one! Same thing has happened to me several times,
but I was never quite sure that it might be related to other things
going on (such as playing poorly written games!)
