OK - that podcast nows plays OK and can be ffwd. I haven't got the right reproducible sequence yet but it looks like playing a podcast and then some combination of stopping/clearling playlist/some other keypress and then playing another podcast results in the second podcast not showing up as seek

The BBC (and ABC) have their podcast setup on a webpage - the URL changes with each programs. I tried using the standard SC Podcast last August (when AlienBBC was moved to SC7) and it didn't work. I'll look into the problem over the next few days. -- bpa -

I suppose the best way to look at the new "seek" method is to examine code - Plugin/Scanner. Anywhere else - where is the podcast seek implemeted ? Here is a BBC podcast URL - RealPlayer can skip forward in the stream. When played it returns info about its duration. http://downloads.bbc.co.uk/

Just a note to give status - the issue needs investigation. AlienBBC ffw/rew using the remote is broken - the scanner "cann scan" message appears instead of AlienBBC skip minutes. Looks like Scanner has overridden AlienBBC ffwd/rew handlers. The WebUI still works in the AlienBBC manner but the

Andy, I'm back on 7.1 after a couple of days. michael herger has been doing some work which now works well. Next works on podcats lists and alien lists. Skip forward works, just, with alien streams. I am not aware of a progress bar? Skip forward doesn't work with podcasts. 18933, FFbeta5, hardy

Hiandy, I would test this but i am having isues with 7.1 that are jut too annoying at present. 1. The on/off button doesn't work properly. It's the same as testing. 2. Unstable is showing more gui menu changes that unsettle me. This time I have lost music services and favourites. also the usual

I just merged a little thing I have been working on the past few days. You can now seek through remote MP3 and WMA files. WMA seeking is limited to WMA files being served from Windows Media servers. Please test it out in 7.1. ___ beta mailing list
