I just installed Bibdesk on a new MBP w/OS X 10.6.3, 2.53ghz Intel i5,
4gb ram.
Whenever I start it, the list comes up (either a new list or an
existing list if I start from the file) and the release notes appear.
Then the program quits.
I started with Bibdesk 1.5.2. When that didn't work,
I'm currently using BibDesk 1.3.20 (1412)
The file structure for citations being downloaded from EBSCO seems to
have changed.
Below is an example of a citation that will not open correctly. If I
remove the first two lines (DP and DB), the file opens in BibDesk
correctly.

The citations I've downloaded from EBSCO for the last month or so have
extra data at the end of the year field. Some examples:
2007/12//
2008/07//Jul-Sep2008
2003///
That goofs things up with my APA export templates, which typically
require only a single year (or range of years) in that field
The current APA Style template for "Author + Year citations" (i.e.,
parenthetic or in-text citations) posted on the Wiki has a discrepancy.
When a source has three, four or five authors, ALL names are included
in the citation on first reference. [Subsequent references may be

I have a Bibdesk bibliography file that's getting large - 1.1mb with
315 sources. (Breaking it into smaller files isn't a good option right
now.)
Since I use the file (and attached PDFs) from several locations, I
keep the file (and the auto-filed PDFs) on a WebDAV drive.
That works okay, bu

Did the search feature disappear, or am I overlooking it?

Here's a correction for the "APA style full citations" template
(APACitationTemplate.txt) on the Wiki...
In APA Style, the names of the editors (for inbook references) should
be listed as "In A. B. Smith..." (not Smith, A. B.)
(See p. 252, #34 in the APA Publication Manual, 5th Edition.)
I'm working on an APA style template, and I am running into a problem.
When listing authors, APA uses a serial comma when there are only two
authors.
The current template editor options list "A, B, & C" but when I use
that format with only two authors I get this:
Mancuso, J. C. & Adams-W
The template editor will allow me to create a template, but when I try
to open it again, I get:
Unable to open file. This template cannot be opened by BibDesk. You
should edit it manually.
Below is the content of the template

Been away from this list for several months for personal reasons...
The progress on BibDesk has been remarkable -- thanks to Adam,
Christiaan and Michael!
I was unable to find these two issues in the list archive, apologies

The template below seems to work reasonably well for generating an
APA-like reference list.
How do I insert a new line after each item? Everything is run
together into a single paragraph.

I'm running BibDesk 1.3.10 on OS X 10.4.10.
Two things I'd like to do with BibDesk. Any assistance would be
appreciated.
