Thank you very much for the details. As for the default bookmarks, I

Is the Command-R shortcut in use at the moment? I use "Reveal linked

other programs (such as iTunes).

How about a preference to set the "home page" for Web group?

Perhaps citeulike and scholar could be given as presets.)

This file contains scripts of essential value to the user:

I now use the capitalisation scripts on a daily basis. Is there a way

Hello all,
Biblatex refers to 'collection' for edited books where chapters have
different authors. Is this the same as 'proceeding'? This is what I
use when I have such books, even though they are not proceedings most
of the time.
E.g. Smith, John and Smith, Ann (2003) The Typical Collective Book
OK, that's perfect. Thanks!

Dear all,
When I import references from PubMed or the ISI, I generally open them
afterwards to edit the keywords and fit my own list of keywords, or to
tweak the cite-key.
I do this systematically; could a preference be implemented to open
the record of imported references immediately after impor

I have tested the UI and find it very practical. You have been

When I import from PubMed using the BibDesk command, the PMID field is

Is that what is not working for you? I know that I have to use my Uni

Cmmd-Shift-K: doesn't cost much really.

Since 1.3.9 is in development again, may I request these two small features:
-- a direct menu item for Web of Science SSCI: social research users
like me would really appreciate it, it's a small improve (time and
convenience) that doesn't cost much.
-- a keyboard shortcut for "Consolidate file":
Same problem here, yet the order of addition seems preserved by some
kind of magic.

Dear Adam,
The more I read about your suggestion, the more I think it looks like
a good idea. But it also makes me think that having better Autofiling
would really help.
I am thinking in particular of some sort of multiple selector. For
instance, Journal|Booktitle would try to Autofile using Jour

I guess this would fix the difficulty I described earlier (about
autofiling papers).

Not sure I like losing the full paths.
This is because my Cite Key + Autofile works with authors and journal
names, e.g. Smith2004-EJC for an article by Smith in Europen Journal
of Cancer.
This scheme works well with 75% of my lit (articles), but does not
work for working papers (which I tag as t
(Largely redundant with what has been said)
My own strategy for both merging and duplicate-search goes through keywords:
- Merging: each file got a file:Cancer / file:Health / etc. keyword.
- Duplicates: select all duplicates, assign them a "Duplicate"
keyword, and spend a few minutes deleting wh

Hello all,
Is there a script to smart-capitalize (as in journals: all words
except small ones like 'in' -- 'and' -- etc.) text fields, usually
titles, in BibDesk?
The wiki does not indicate such a script.
I guess a script would go (for each word of field, loop if word ==

I think the following feature would improve greatly the writing of

The current 'capitalizedString' template key capitalises every single
