There is a Great Egret in the pond (Mud Lake) at the Britannia Conservation
area this morning. It is in the east end of the pond. Dave Moore
discovered it.

Hello Ontario,
For the first time in my life I not only heard but saw a Sora & Virginia
Rail in the Cranberry Marsh. An American Coot made his appearance as well
as a Ruddy Duck.
Then south of Newcastle today I observed 2 Common Loons swimming into the
harbor of the Port of Newcastle while

When compared with conditions a month ago, birding at Presqu'ile
Provincial Park seems fairly quiet now, but when compared with birding
in many surrounding areas at this time of year, the variety of species
in the Park makes one appreciate the opportunities that exist here.
