Shortly after 0700 this morning, Monday November 22nd, the Selasphorus
hummingbird was observed feeding at the Haines backyard feeders. Yesterday
after a 5 hour drive, two birders from Ohio enjoyed watching the hummer for a
good part of the afternoon. On Saturday, Diego Garcia-Bellido and his
to my knowledge there have been no owls seen in the NewLiskeard area which
is quite interesting that the movement has by passed us for the moment
especially when we had so many northern saw whets this year. condolenses for
our lack of great greys would be appreciated but not necessary

Today on Amherst Island, there was 1 BOREAL OWL in the Owl Woods. It was
found in the clump of White Cedars on the north side of the path, east of
the bird feeders. In the Jack Pine plantation there was 1 NORTHERN SAW-WHET
OWL.
On the east end KFN property, there was 1 SNOWY OWL by the ponds. A
A Great Gray Owl was observed in an open bog along Highway 60 this morning
(November 22), just inside the East Boundary of Algonquin Park. However, the
owl was dive-bombed by a Common Raven soon after it was located, and
subsequently moved into deeper cover and out of sight.

On Monday, Nov.22. I saw the Golden-crowned Sparrow 3x between 0815 and
0920; then an immature Cooper's Hawk took over as the prime bird to be
seen---perched and flying low. The passerines laid low while he was nearby.
Hopefully the G-c Sp. will reappear on Tuesday.
