Hi all,
For the past three days there has been several large groups of Snow Buntings
along the Wheatley Road (Cty Rd 1) Most of the groups are approximately 50
birds. There are also large groups of Horned Larks scattered along as well
as a few Lapland Longspurs moulting into breeding plumage.

Hi Everyone
The Great Gray Owls are still in good numbers in the Shirley's Bay area.
Today, February 25th we saw 10 to 15 along March Valley Road between 7:30 am
and 9:00am. A quick run along March Valley Road at around 4:00pm netted 5
owls.
The Northern Hawk-Owl was present again today
For the second day in a row a Northern Shrike was perching in all the trees
used by the Northern Hawk Owl on Robert Dollar Dr. in Bracebridge. From
it's arrival on January 1 to Wednesday I had seen and photographed the hawk
owl at least 30 times.
It may still be around but had been less reliable
I was delighted to see a */sharpie/* hunting over my house as I returned
home on Friday at 4:30pm.
Perhaps this bird is the Sgt Major leading the parade that will
gradually become the spring migration?
I won't leave directions as I don't expect this bird to return.

About 10 this morning I saw an immature Bald Eagle sitting at the end of a
pier at the boat launch on the east side of Lakefront Promenade park in
Mississauga. Very big and massive, almost all dark brown with some light low

While looking for it we saw a MERLIN at the north-west corner of Highway 2
