Today Alfred Adamo took me to Presqu'ile for Shorebirds and despite the lack
of directions to the park we found it and we were not disappointed in our

(Saturday) around 11:30 am. Upon arriving we saw only one of the birds just
upriver of the bench (see directions below). A short while later the second

Greetings fellow birders:
An adult Great egret was spotted yesterday around 4:00 pm at the back
of the pond at Pinecroft. Other birds seen were an adult Spotted
sandpiper and Ovenbird as well as Milbert's tortoiseshell.
To get to Pinecroft take Hwy #3 east tow
I did a quick check of the Holland Landing lagoons between 7:45 - 8:15 this
morning but, as Dave Worthington noted yesterday, there was not much there
outside of the more common birds. This week's most interesting species -
Red-necked Phalarope, Stilt Sandpiper, and Short-billed Dowitcher - app
