During a beautiful day of photographing birds, flowers and butterflies along
Wylie Rd, Carden, I did not find the Prairie Warbler mentioned in Norm Murr's
post last week. I did find a Northern Mockingbird behind BBBox 5. I got a
picture with the head obscured and sent it off to Jean Iron and R
This morning at about 8am, a second-year male Summer Tanager was heard and
observed singing persistently in a forest glade near to the junction of Chalk
Lake Road and Lake Ridge Road. The bird was still singing in glorious sunshine
when Sue Hayes and I left to continue surveying the area.
