As of 6:30 tonight the bird was still actively flitting around the dock,
rocks, blocks, etc. Vicki (from Leamington?) and I had excellent views till
the sun set. Wow! A lifer for both of us.
Southerly winds were picking up as the sun went down and cloud cover was
increasing. There's rain forecast

Good day all.
Today, despite the dull showery morning I decided to go to The Islands again
and below are some of the birds I found on my walk.
Black-crowned night-Heron, Canvasback, Greater Scaup, Bufflehead,

The Sandhill Cranes were still in the harvested field on Milton Road today
about 2pm. Initially there were 8 birds in the far (northwest) corner of
the field on the left side of Milton just past Perrault Road. They were
soon joined by about 20 more Cranes that flew in from the east. We also saw

Hi All
No - I haven't got over to see the bird, but I've heard from several
reliable sources this morning that the bird is still being seen at the
Shrewsbury Dock (see the driving directions in yesterday's post). Thought
I would get the information out!

The juvenile Hudsonian Godwit found by Julia Marko Dunn on Friday at Coot's
Pond on the Darlington Nuclear Waterfront Trail was still actively feeding
there at 8am today, Monday October 15th. The west part of the pond is
completely dried out and partly overgrown, with "No Swimming" signs leaning

Someone lost their prescription bifocal sunglasses
while viewing the N. Wheatear Sunday at Shrewsbury.
It is thought that they fell from a grey/ silver SUV parked
on the East side of the road.
I have them in my car now.
