Hello Ont. Birders
Today just after 12.30pm. one of the local PEREGRINES launched from

Hi Birders,
The Northern Hawk Owl was present at around 2:00 PM when we got there.

luring the bird towards him.
It might not harm the bird

Hi all, this is more an FYI for other residents of the area of Toronto along
the southern Humber River and vicinity than a twitchable report, but I
thought I would post it anyway in that capacity. This afternoon, Friday
January 4th, I found 2 female (or 1st basic male?) Hoary Redpolls with a

Northern Hawk-Owl- the bird was in its usual area, we must have been there
too early to see any of the photographers harassing it, but

Hi all,
Just an update on the "snow goose". It seems like that it's a barnyard goose
of some type. The bird's a little too large and the beak and legs are too
pink. In addition, there's no evidence of black primary feathers.
Sorry for the ruffled feathers ;-).

As before . . .
Until the big freeze yesterday the variety of waterfowl was quite good. A
Canvasback and 2 N. Pintails were on Wolfe Island a week ago as was a Ruddy
Duck in Elevator Bay. There were 2 Ring-necked Ducks at Treasure Island on
New YearÂ’s Day and a good number of Gadwall, Am. Wigeon, Hooded Merganse
Hello,

and temperatures were around -18 Celsius all day. We saw over 60 plus
Rough-legged Hawks, three Red-tailed Hawks, four Snowy Owls, one was a large
female, almost fully white with just a hint of a few brown feathers
