Along with the balmy weather, another sign of spring, a single Great Blue
Heron, flew over Jockvale Road heading west towards the Stonebridge Golf Course
in Barrhaven. This is the first heron I've seen this year - maybe spring
actually will arrive soon.

Yesterday a white morph adult Ross' Goose was observed resting and feeding with
a few aggressive Canada Geese on a scant patch of newly exposed grass, on the
south (river) side (along the building wall) of the OMNR District Office in
Sault Ste. Marie, ON. It remained on this spot

Yesterday evening at 6pm I watched as a pair of Great blue heron's emerged
from the fog, flying low and slow over the Legends Centre. They were heading
east toward the small pond, located behind the Home Depot.

I dropped in on this location yesterday (March 31st).
I parked in a very small parking lot to the west of
the condo exiting off of Lawrence Ave and directly
facing the flowering crab trees. It was a quiet time
of the day (2:30 pm), and I am always respectful and
discreet when entering private
Hi everyone,
A Black Vulture was seen flying past the hawk tower at Beamer Conservation
Area, south of Grimsby, at 1:10 p.m. today (April 1). The bird was identified
by Geoff Carpentier and seen by myself and three others. It was initially seen
flying west, but then was spotted flying back
On Monday March 31st while walking home along the speed river near
Gordon St. at about 10pm myself and Holly Dodds saw the Black-crowned
Night Heron hunting near the bridge at Gordon st along with a Great
Blue Heron. The bird stayed for around 2hrs until flushing to some
trees on the south

Black Vulture
This location again provided a spectacular assembly of thousands of Canada
Geese on the ice and in the open water near shore.
In late afternoon there were about 100 Greater Snow Geese present before
they flew off.
Long Sault is just west of Cornwall along Hwy 2.
