Hi,
I am a visiting birdwatcher from England.
Whilst photographing the Least and Semipalmated Sandpipers at Rock Point today,
I came across this very worn Western Sandpiper.

Yesterday, Sunday, July 20, my wife, Judy, and I birded several sites near
Dunrobin west of Ottawa. We started at the Bill Mason Outdoor Center behind
West Carleton Secondary School on Dunrobin Road. In the marsh area from the
southern boardwalk we were abe to see several

Yesterday at 5:00 p.m. directly over Fowlers Corners I observed an adult
golden eagle lazily circling for 10 minutes. sorry I could not post
earlier. richard pope
Fowlers Corners is northwest of Peterborough where Highway 7 North makes
a right angle to the west at
Chemong Lake.
As of this evening the Red-necked Grebe nest in Bronte Marsh is abandoned
with two eggs unhatched out of four eggs originally present. After my post
on Saturday morning of one egg having hatched I returned in the evening to
see that there were two chicks and two eggs in the nest. On Sunday I
