Hello all,
I went birding at Eastport Drive in Burlington this afternoon.
Around 4pm, spotted the American White Pelican preening on the longest of
the three islands directly west of Eastport Dr north of the lift bridge.
Further down, at the intersection of Lakeshore and Eastport Dr (directly

Today, Monday, August 11, 2008, the Black-legged Kittiwake was present at
the Moodie Drive Ponds at 11:30 a.m. It was in the far right corner of the
pond. There were also a fairly large group of Common Terns.

7:20 pm, at the Moodie Drive Quarry Ponds, there was an American
White Pelican.
It was still present at 8:30pm.
For the entire time, it rested on the small island in the south end
of the main pond.
Also present were 3 Red-necked Phalaropes in the centre of the pond.
