Saturday morning I observed a white morph Ross's Goose among several hundred
Canada Geese in Lake Ontario just east of Thickson Road, off of Crystal Beach
Blvd. This flock floated and flew slowly west until it rounded Thickson Point

This evening at 7:45pm, at the corner of Ausable Line and 83 highway just
west of Exeter, several Woodcock peenting in the NW quadrant of the
intersection. A lovely sound of spring

This evening my wife and I visited the Hurdman area to check up on the male
BARROW'S GOLDENEYE, which is still in its regular location near the Hurdman
footbridge. Along the riverside male RED-WINGED BLACKBIRDS can be heard
staking out their territory for the imminent
This afternoon at 3pm, a flock of 9, vocalising, Cackling Geese flew in to join
a much larger gaggle of Canada Geese on the ice at Reesor Pond and immediately
went to sleep. The pond lies just north of Hwy 407 on Reesor Road in Markham.

I had the Western Grebe this morning (approx. 0915 hrs) at the SE part of
Ashbridges Park. It was quite far out, so a scope is recommended. Make sure to
scan each bird closely, as when this bird rests with its head tucked in, it can
appear like a sleeping Long-tailed Duck, when view

I just received a call from Ian Richards that he found a Black Vulture
just north of Rondeau Provincial Park this morning (Saturday March
14). It was feeding on a Virginia Opossum carcass in the ditch along
Rose Beach Line, which runs along the lakeshore. He didn't have a
