On Friday, Jan 15, my wife and I made our first trip to Amherst I., taking the 10:30 AM ferry. In the water near to the ferry dock at Millhaven we saw the male Hooded Merganser mentioned by others, as well as a forlorn-looking Coot. Lots of Mallrd, Black Duck, Goldeneyes, Long-tailed Duck
