At Colonel Sam Smith Park there was a Horned Grebe around 4:30pm, and I stayed to dusk to verify the type of owl seen last week: It was absolutely a Long-eared Owl. thanks to all who helped me! The Varied Thrush put on a good show this morning. The owner seems to put out the corn around

There were 300 Bohemian Waxwings, 100 meters west of the 911 sign for 1468 7th line of Smith, Ennismore, Lakefield Township at 1 p.m. today. The trees were full. We returned at 3:45 and none were seen. No doubt they are not far away. Directions - From central Peterborough go north on Water St.

Greetings! It was a beautiful day to be out! We went to 50 Point Conservation Area to see a Black Scoter (no luck) and in the marina we had a pleasant surprise to see the male King Eider. There were also White winged Scoters, Common Golden Eyes, Mallards, and another (and different)
