A Least Bittern flew out of the reeds on the north side of Coleman St just
ouside of Carleton Place on Canada Day around 1 PM.
Coleman St can be reached by going west from Ottawa on Hwy 7 until McNeely St
and turning north. On McNeely until second lights which is Coleman. Turn
right onto Co
We were very pleasantly surprised to have a Black Billed Cuckoo spend over an
hour in my backyard yesterday afternoon. It spent most of the time near the
top of our hundred plus year old Black Walnuts and Maples along the edge of the
property. He must of thought we were nuts because he spent
The Eared Grebe reported at the Embrun sewage lagoon on July 1 was still there
in the afternoon of Sat July 2. Also of note was a Lesser Yellowlegs and Lesser
Scaup.

quality photographs, of an Eared Grebe at the Embrun Sewage Lagoons.
Observed yesterday July 1 late afternoon.
