Early afternoon, Nov. 19, there was a rough-legged hawk (dark morph)
hunting over a field south of Carling Avenue between Moodie Drive and
Rifle Road (Ottawa). We watched as it hovered, then flew forward a
distance over the field before hovering again, and so on, until it
flew north across the road
While cycling today I found an adult and a juvenile white-phase Snow Goose
in the reservoir at Earl Rowe Park today at around 12:00. These are
probably the same geese reported by Susan Menzies on the west side of King
street in the north end of Alliston over the last week. They appear to be

Hi Ontbirders:
Not surprising the Greater White-Fronted Goose was not refound again today at
the same location. Previous sightings of this species at Andrew Haydon Park

Hey Birders,
Haven't seen a post for a few days, so I thought I would let you know that the
adult Razorbill is still being seen as of 11am this morning from Queen's Royal

I drove up to Ravenshoe Road in SW Keswick this morning to see if any Snowy
Owls have arrived yet but had no luck in that department. Still, I did observe
a Northern Shrike and a male Northern Harrier. The vegetable fields in the
western stretches of Ravenshoe Road are wide open and windswept,
