On April 14 Nigel Shaw and I observed a Snowy Owl in a field at the corner of
the 20th Sideroad and 2nd Line in Innisfil Township. Nigel subsequently banded
the bird and determined it was a female. We did not see the bird today. This
could have been on of the birds that over-wintered in the Hol

Further to Rick's earlier posting, a Snowy Owl continues
to stay at the Blenheim Sewage Lagoons. It has been here
for a few weeks now. I saw it this afternoon. It was sitting
in the open field, just East of the lagoon, on the Allison Sideroad.

This afternoon at Dow's Lake, a GREAT EGRET was resting on an exposed sandbar
near the Dow's Lake Pavilion. Earlier in the day there were reportedly three
of them in the area.

Folks:
For those tracking "late" dates, I just had a Snowy Owl on 83 highway just west
of Sunshine Line, east of Exeter, Huron Cty. The owl was in the plowed field
north of the highway.

The Scissor-tailed Flycatcher is still being seen as of 8:45 this morning.
Owner of the home, Marlene Bulpit says birders are welcome and there are no
other occupied homes in the immediate vicinity.

about 14 km south
Brett Fried and I just had a possible Fish Crow over the highway at exit 456,
west side of Port Hope.
This is more of a heads up for birders since I'm definitely not 100%
comfortable calling it a Fish Crow from sight alone, but it certainly looked
like it. Good comparison to nearby American Crow
