as I watched.

Not much going on at Andrew Haydon Park this morning. There were 3 Scaup in the
western most pond earlier.
One Brant feeding on the grass near the western most pond. If you see it in
the pond, more than likely someone had just walked by with their dog. The
Brant is back up on the grass

Hi Ontbirders,
For those going to look for the Cave Swallow (see Bruce di Labio’s posts) note
that there are two swallows present, but only one is a Cave Swallow, so be sure
to look carefully. There are lots of birders present at the site just now to
help you sort them out. Good luck!

Still present at Lakeside Promenade in Mississauga. Bird located with approx.
75 Canada Geese at Douglas Kennedy Headland parking lot, alternating between
feeding on the grassy hill and swimming in the marina bay.

A stunning eclipse male Eurasian Wigeon was seen by myself and my patient
daughter, Diana, among the hundreds of American Wigeon and Gadwall this
morning at Thickson Point. It is still mainly in non-breeding (summer)
plumage except for the buffy forehead.

I just got back taking 400+ photo of this goose. When I left it was
close the walkway that runs along the ne side the marine lagoon (this
is first parking lot on left down the Lakefront Promenade Road. When
I photographed it, it was feeding on lawn just up from the parking lot.

At 9:00 a.m. I had a single swallow with a buffy rump patch by the lake at
the end of Point Petre Road. I observed it for about two minutes but it
was hard to follow in the wind and the lighting wasn't good enough to pick
out other field marks. It flew off to the west twice and returned, but not

Bonnie Doon Rd. All Bohemians,
no Cedar waxwings. They were feeding in junipers took off toward Bonnie Doon. I

4 female Pine Grosbeaks feeding on small willows

Small flocks of White-winged Crossbills and lots of Pine Siskins in many areas.

Along with the dozens of Siskins, Goldfinches, House Finches and a couple of
Purple Finches I had a Carolina Wren at the feeders today at around 2pm and
then again at 3pm. My feeders back on to thickson woods on the west side.

Finally some sunshine! Birded Toronto Islands and had a few gems in our 32
species day. A few Red-headed Woodpeckers, a Red-bellied Woodpecker and a Pine
Grosbeak. Still a few Myrtles, Thrushes and large flocks of Pine Siskins.

Everyone,
Myself and Joshua D. Vandermeulen have just returned from Netitishi Point on
southern James Bay, where we were present on the dates of October 21 to
November 3 inclusive.
In total we saw a total of 83 species. Here are some of our highlights:
NORTHERN FULMAR:
One on October 29; exce
A visiting birdwatcher recorded in the Presqu'ile Bird Sightings book that he
"heard only" a Boreal Chickadee in the Fingers at Presqu'ile today (Nov. 3/12).
A barred owl was also seen in this area and a Rough-legged Hawk was seen
elsewhere in the park.

day, and were not disappointed.

I spent the day at Sandbanks Prov Park up to Point Petre. Highlights were
an adult Cave Swallow at Point Petre, a first year Golden Eagle along Kings
Rd., and 2 Purple Sandpipers on the west side of Long Shore Lodge Rd
(Sandbanks). Other birds included a Palm Warbler, a Blue-headed Vi
Briefly observed a vocal flock of about 10-12 sandhill cranes fly west over the
Devil's Pulpit at about noon today while hiking the Bruce Trail. The nearest
road is the Forks of the Credit Road, about 2km east of Belfountain.
