For those of you who watched every goose on the pond fly away yesterday between
3:15 and 3:45 - they all came back by 4 p.m. and the WFG was with them along
with Gackling . Alex Dobson and his wife came along just as they were landing
and we had good looks at them.

Hanging around tree tops for last hour at main traffic intersection in small
town of Inverary. A half block west is a church where they hung out for at
least 40 min.

At 3:10 pm both geese were present. Cackling Goose in the water south side,
Greater White-fronted Goose in the water north side.

Today, at approximately 1:30 PM, I observed an adult KUMLIEN'S GULL at
Andrew Haydon east/Ottawa Beach off of Carling Ave.This bird was amidst a

Still lots of Bohemian Waxwings in the Ottawa area. This afternoon I observed 5
flocks totaling 650+ birds. A couple of flocks were located north and east of

At about 5:00 p.m on December 7th the three Ross's Geese reported yesterday by
Gavin Platt circled over the lagoons for about 15 minutes before landing in the

A male Harlequin Duck, first reported on an eBird alert yesterday, can still be
found in the same location (Port Weller-St. Catharines). Jean and I spotted it
today, sitting with three female Buffleheads at the far end of the east spit.
