Observed the Kestrel again on Sunday February 3 at Egypt, Ontario in the
same circumstances. For those who want to see the bird. Below are the
directions I sent out January 30.
" An American Kestrel was observed on telephone line
wires near the hamlet of Egypt on Wednesday a
Robert Baumander and I saw the Grebe again around 430. I know there have
been quite a few disappointed folks, so I thought I would add a bit of info
for complete clarity.
1: The Grebe was very consistently off Sunnyside Beach, ranging only a
couple of hundred metres east and west. He could be tric

The Eastern Phoebe, 1st seen Jan 7, was found again today along the Thames
River in Ingersoll, in good health and [seemingly] set to successfully
overwinter - having survived nights close to - 20 C.
This bird is doing a ''Sedgewick'', apparently feeding on invertebrates coming
from
David and I saw the bird together from the end of the rickety pier around 4:30
but it is too diving and moving and it's too cold to stay out too long

At 1:30 today, I saw a Bald Eagle flying low over the intersection of Blair and
Innes Road. Possibly the same one reported earlier in the day near Gloucester

I finally saw the dove at 4.10pm .
It was sitting under a feeder, eating sunflower seeds, in the garden at the
visitor centre.

Spotted the Western Grebe in the same area as was reported Sunday. Seen
130pm Monday Feb 4. Viewed directly out from rickety wooden pier by
Sunnyside Bathing Pavilion. Bird roughly 100 feet beyond the breakwall.
This is extremely close to where he was seen Sunday, so perhaps sticking
around for awh

Road this morning (7:30 a.m.) though I expected them to be within the

This morning around 10 am on River Rd. around Gloucester Glen (Ottawa)
I saw a Bald Eagle soaring in the sky. This is usually the hang out of
a red tailed Hawk which I have seen for the last month but was not
there this morning.
