Today (April 25, 2013) Michael Runtz and I birded Prince Edward County;
principally, Point Traverse and the adjacent wood lots.
A total of 100 species of bird were seen. Highlights include:

Inevitably at this time of year birders turn up a few surprises at Presqu’ile
Provincial Park, and this week has been no exception.

I haven't had any updates on the Violet-green Swallow found this morning by
Jake Walker. The last sighting was around 1:00pm off Britannia Point. As the
day warmed up the swallows dispersed and were higher up making identification
this swallow more difficult. It may still be in the

amongst the large flock of Cedar Waxwings, perhaps 3 or 4 dozen.
The Bohemian was in a bare tree at the begining of the path leading from the
small parking area to the visitors centre.

Hey,
I found a alternate adult / female ''Audubon's'' Yellow-rumped Warbler along
the Thames River near Beachville today. The bird was in a flock of 10
Yellow-rumps, all catching flies along the muddy banks of the river.

Wed had a huge interruption of juncos. They were as thick as black flies.
Mixed in was everything from swallows to meadowlarks and
