Hi Ontbirders,
Friday night at approximately 1850 hrs, I observed 14 Great Egrets
roosting in small (7m) trees in a small shallow wetland/swamp in a
pasture setting approximately 200m off Hwy 14 west of Demorestville,

Hello Birders,
I found a juvenile Long-billed Dowitcher feeding at close range at Sobey's
Pond today in Whitby. Also present were several other shorebirds,
including:
3 Greater Yellowlegs
1 Lesser Yellowlegs
3 Pectoral Sandpipers
1 Dunlin
The LB Dowitcher was still present at 5:05 pm, when I lef

On Tuesday, Sept. 17, at about 12:00 noon, I left my small shoulder bag
containing a camera and two field guides at the North platform at Cranberry
Marsh. I checked back about 2 and a half hours later and it wasn’t there. I’m

An immature **LEAST TERN** flew west to east past the Tip of Point Pelee this
morning at 8:40 a.m. It came down the west side before veering off to the SE
when reaching the Tip (a typical flight path for terns and Bonaparte's Gulls at
Point Pelee in fall). The bird was flying at full tilt, in
The best bird of the week was a JAEGER (species undetermined) off
Prince Edward County. YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER, BLUE-HEADED VIREO,
SWAINSON'S and GREY-CHEKED THRUSHES, AMERICAN PIPIT, RUBY-CROWNED and
some GOLDEN-CROWNED KINGLETS were all on the move. Warbler numbers
seem to have dropped off, but

September19th just before 1pm at Britannia Conservation Area ( Mud Lake).
