I have found and taken multiple pictures of a purple sandpiper at CSSP,
presumably the same bird that was found here by Henrique Pachico this past
weekend.
There are four small mini rock jetties that extend out into the lake from the
main walking path jetty at the extreme south end if the
A mature golden eagle has been flying around at beach access 10 beside the
Visitor Centre.
It seems to be trying to put up a raft of ducks just off shore.

A little off from Presqu'Ile, but could be the same bird, a Snow Goose was with
a large flock of Canadas in the field across from the Presqu'Ile motel, on
Highway 2 in Brighton, this afternoon.

This morning we woke to a flock of about 15 Bohemian Waxwings in our yard in
Roblin, Ontario, just north of Napanee.
An hour later, when the rain started there was a fallout of several flocks of
Cedar Waxwings numbering several hundred which appeared to contain a few

Hi Ontbirders
Spent a couple of hours birding Lake Deschenes,Ottawa River today. Overall it
was very quiet with little bird activity and no fallout. The water level along
the Ottawa River continues to be very high. The highlight was a flock of 5
adult winter plumage Red-throated Loons feeding
