Just had a small flock of B-h CBs at the feeder. Six males, four females
(first this spring). Glenburnie (north part of Kingston).

This bird has been present most of the winter and has been seen on and off.
This morning around 8:30 AM, Lisa Teskey, Joanne Redwood and I saw this
stunning raptor, and were able to take several diagnostic photographs. The
bird was on a telephone wire on the east side of Highway 6, just s
Seen today at Reesor Pond: 3 pairs of hooded mergansers, 4 pairs of common
mergs, a few buffleheads and many Canada geese. Maybe an American widgeon, not
sure...

Today at about 4:30 p.m. I located a flock of about 5,000 Greater Snow Geese in
a flooded field just north of Highway #43 about 6 kilometres west of
Winchester, Ontario. They were predominantly white-morph birds but with a few
blue-morph individuals.

Last weekend, Jeff Haffner got a brief glimpse of a duck he was almost certain
was a Eurasian Wigeon. Today the bird re-appeared and in full sun, it could be
identified positively as a Eurasian Wigeon. It is at the south wetland on
Kaiser Crossroad, where you may also see the flock of 30+ Bonapa
Attendees should be aware that there is still very extensive deep snow on
the ground in Algonquin Park. High, water-proof winter footwear will be
required for some off-road and off-trail birding activity.
The trip will start at the West Gate at 9 am. The first planned birding stop
will be at Spruc
