the berm beside a small tree.

My wife, Judy, and I watched 10 Sandhill Cranes for about 20 minutes from Smith
Road on the west side of the Mer Bleue east of Ottawa. They were feeding at the
back of a farmer's field just before the woods started.
There were also thousands of Canada Geese along Milton Road, but
Seen and heard at Port Colborne Quarry on Quarry road this morning around
11.00 am. Also a loon.

Just found a group of 50+ Greater White-fronted Geese north of Hagersville,
ON (Haldimand County) East (or southeast) side of the road, directly
across from house #4353 on Hwy 6. Many birds are sleeping and some are
below a hill, but a rough count hit 52 birds at one point...

The large number of Greater Snow Geese reported in the far eastern portion
of Ontario on Sunday are still present, split into several areas. Hans
vanderZweep and I encountered multiple flocks today totalling about
125,000. Concessions a few kilometres north of Lancaster had flocks of
varying sizes
