This morning I count at least 350 Red-necked Grebes of Rattray Marsh ... not that usual since this a know late summer/fall staging area. The mudflats are rapidly widening since the water level of Lake Ontario has dropped considerably in the last few weeks but with only 3 species of shorebird: 9

I understand that this board is not normally to be used for discussions, but I feel it is important to reply to what Miranda O'Hara posted earlier. As a birder and an angler, I am not happy about this either. But it is legal to fish in any public water, unless there are specific laws
