Saturday afternoon Tundra swans were seen flying over the RNUP between 2:00-4:00 p.m. I observed one group of 25 swans near Sewell's Rd. and Finch Ave. in Scarborough. Other observers in the area documented more. Conversation at end of day established that there were as many as 65 in the area.

Whilst sipping my coffee and watching my granddaughter dance in circles two Grackles and half a dozen Red-winged Blackbirds landed in the yard. My records indicate earliest arrival date ever. I suspect they are arriving in many places. Maybe we should all dance in circles for an early spring.
