Festival of Flight; Good number of warblers seen in the park today
including numerous Cape May and Blackpolls. The Prothonotary continues on
Tulip Trail. Scarlet Tanagers and Indigo Buntings are being seen throughout
the park. Both cuckoos continue to be seen on Bennet Rd. The most common

The highlight of the week was a CERULEAN WARBLER near the Champlain lookout
on the 18th. There was also a BREWSTER’S WARBLER at Br
There is a Willet at the wet field just east of Port Crewe (between Pelee
and Rondeau). Also 330 Whimbrel in the field actoss from the western
entrance to Wheatley harbour.

There are currently approximately 150 Whimbrels sitting on the rocky portion of
the breakwater pier, east end.
Follow Main St south to its end, then follow the trail along the shore to view
the birds.

There was a Brewster's Warbler (hybrid Golden-Winged / Blue-Winged) on the
ridge at Mud Lake around midday today (May 18th), possibly still present. It
was being very cooperative foraging in the trees beside the path, near the
west end of the ridge. Dark mark through the eye, wide pale yellow wing
Bird continues as of 1pm. Now active and vocal at banding lab.

In the bowl. Low in the tangles, Unwin side. Also a female Cape May and 3
Wilson's, 2 of them male. Wet Woods are at the base of Leslie Spit in
Toronto.

Spit in Toronto. Seen and then heard. In centre path middle of woods a bit​

Warm southerly breezes greeted birders today. Incoming migrants were not
reported in large numbers but there were a few good pockets. About 15 species
of warbler were reported. The most numerous species of warbler reported was
CANADA.
The Tip had a good group of birds including CANADA, WILSON'
There is a Least Bittern seen at 10.30 from the path east of the south
parking lot before where the two paths cross. In some sumac. It was not
being seen when I left at 10.40

Yesterday, May 18, while scanning the numerous ducks and shorebirds at the
Hillman Marsh Shorebird Cell, I was made aware of the presence of two Western
Willets and a number of Short Billed Dowitchers by another birder.
Additionally, there were 14 Black Bellied Plovers, Northern Shovelers, Rudd

Yesterday evening at 7pm we saw a male Dickcissel at a private house on
Porcupine Lake in South Porcupine. The bird was with a group of White-crowned
Sparrows at a feeder and sometimes went to perch on a shrub to sing.
The bird is on a private property on the lake. It can not be viewed from
