WHIMBREL
AMER.
>From Tim Mccarthy via Ontbirds
Well, the good news is the storm down on the Delmarva is gone and a thousand or
more Whimbrels left the coast last night as a result.
The bad news is that storm is now here. I stood out there on (actually beside)
Whimbrel Point in a near hurricane today and
Thanks David and Garth

Hello Birders,
A group of 9 people are currently seeing the Blue Grosbeak at the previously

Just had brief but diagnostic views of the previously reported BLGR. Exact

Thanks to Garth for posting on my behalf. I wanted to get the word out as quickly as possible so that anyone interested in looking for the bird this evening would have an opportunity to do so.
For further clarity, I have included a google map link with a marker on it showing approximately
They were here around 4 pm but have flown. Several of us have been trying to
relocate them. Woodbine Beach is completely flooded and the habitat is great
for shorebirds. Rubber boots an asset.

I am reporting on behalf of David Pryor who just called to let me know that he
refound the Blue Grosbeak reported earlier.
His directions are as follows:Enter High Park off of Bloor St., park in the
last parking lot next to the ball diamond. Walk west across the road and follow
a path south.
Despite the fact that record high lake water levels restricted access to
some parts of the Park, most birders who came to Presqu'ile Provincial
Park on the weekend found a good variety of birds.
Flocks of BRANT flew past on May 20 and 22. A BLUE-WINGED TEAL
photographed on the flooded beach
