Dear Birders,
We, Ruth Noland-Flores and I, observed the Barnacle Goose at the south
side, near the southwest corner, of the large pond east of the Trisan
Centre late afternoon on March 24th from about 6:00 pm until 6:30 pm, when
it flew off with one of the last waves of Canada Geese leaving to fe
Paul Gosselin has just text to say the common teal is still being seen at
hillman marsh.

The Barnacle Goose showed well this morning for five observers until
approximately 0840 when it departed the lagoon behind the Trisan Centre and
headed northerly with a small flock of CANG. As I had to return to Ottawa,
I did not attempt to relocate: hopefully it is still faithful to its
establish

for the last 4 days, including today Sunday. I have made several trips and have

The Common Teal originally found by Jeremy Bensette was still present at
4:05 today at Hillman Marsh amongst the many Green Wing Teal. Also several
Northern Pintail and the Northern Shrike was showing well.

I am travelling through CP tomorrow, and could take the bird to Sandy Pines
Wildlife Centre, Napanee. I know the staff and the work the centre does, it

As the person who originally put out the call for help in finding this owl (the
“us” referred to in the original Facebook post is Safe Wings Ottawa), I want to
thank everyone for their concern. Several people searched for it today with no
luck, and local residents continue to be on the lookout.
