Greetings fellow birders:
Several Common Moorhen were spotted earlier today - May 8th - at the Port Rowan
Wetlands swimming with Northern Shoveler, Mallard, Bufflehead and Redhead.
At the Bird Studies Canada Old Cut station there were a myriad of migrants:
Yellow-throated Vireo, Blue-gray
Today, May 8th, at 3 pm. I saw a Pine Warbler and a Hooded Warbler,
singing also, Queenston Heights Park in Queenston ON. Along the
escarpment was the Pine Warbler between the maintenance building and the
Brock's Monument. The Hooded Warbler, male, was on the start of Bruce
Trail in the woods,

I'm currently watching an extremely cooperative Cerulean Warbler at Morgans
Point CA west of Port Colborne. It is a singing male and can be heard from the
road. Currently it is on the east side of the park about 10 m west of the road,

One of the few park records of PILEATED WOODPECKER was observed in the Tip area
before heading north along East Beach past the Sparrow Field. Other highlights

A fairly slow morning number wise for birds here in the park but nevertheless a
good morning for bird diversity.
Following the same pattern the birds are being found in the North end of the
park. Marsh Trail as well as the surrounding area including
