appearance at Presqu'ile this afternoon has not been re-located.

Festival of Flight May 14th Afternoon Report
The day has remained fairly slow for bird activity with the exception of
Harrison Tail south of Bennett Rd. Birds are staying high in the mature trees
along with the dense shrubs.
The Summer Tanager continues to show well on Water St. South of the M
greetings birders banders at the Hilliardton marsh research center were excited
to get the stations first ever Leconte sparrow one had been sighted over 25
years ago in a survey done before the marsh was created it came on a day where
10 new species arrived so the migration has just reached us w
At 1:30 this afternoon (Monday) there was a Eurasian Tree Sparrow on our
property at the address below, a LIFER for me!
Ask for directions at the gate of Presqu'ile Park, which can be located
by following the blue signs from Brighton.

The Summer Tanager found earlier today by Dennis Dirigal in Richard Jones
Park is still present. The bird is a first year male, with a red head and
greenish wings.

We had a fine start to the day with some reverse movement off the Tip, but the
rainstorm has settled in sending people into shelter. We are awaiting the rain
to stop before continuing to bird.

A somewhat quiet day in the park for bird activity with the exception of one
trail. Trail conditions in the park are in very bad shape with most of our
trails partially submerged in water. Tulip Tree, South Point, Log Pond, are all
