This afternoon (3pm) there were 2 male Shoveler in the bay south of the
south parking lot in Ashbridge's Bay Park. A first year Iceland Gull flew
over, and a Hooded Merganser was also there.
The hatch year Brant that was present last Tuesday and Wednesday was not
refound.

One Iceland Gull in definitive alternate (adult breeding) plumage was at the
water's edge about 200m from the south end of Woodbine Beach this morning at
about 8am - parking south of Lakeshore Blvd opposite Northern Dancer Blvd.

An adult Lesser Black-backed Gull was in front of the boat ramps at
Ashbridge's Bay at 10am today. The Wood Duck was still present but not the
Harlequin.
Yesterday I saw an adult Iceland Gull and a Cooper's Hawk flying over the
park. I have found the Speckled Alders along the park's east bay

The aechmophorus grebe was in the bay just west of the southeast peninsula
on the Leslie St Spit at 3pm today, less than 100m south of the paved road.
Last Sunday afternoon it was off the southeast tip, so you may have to look

Near the end of the Christmas bird count in Toronto sector 15, an adult male
Harlequin duck was found close to a group of about 200 gulls on the rocks off
the foot of Wineva Ave, about half way between Woodbine and Victoria Park.

22, but still a respectable total for this relatively late date.
Woodbine Beach is between Woodbine and Coxwell Ave. Entrance to parking from
Coxwell and from Lakeshore Blvd.

I heard a late BTNW singing near the west end of Ashbridge's Bay Park about
6:30am yesterday - first heard for several weeks.
Ashbridges Bay is south of Lakeshore blvd on Coxwell ave. 6km E. of downtown
Toronto.
