Just saw a gyrfalcon at GPS 44.20712 76.42349. 2 red-tailed hawks flew at
it and it stooped on both of them. Just a minute south of the winter ferry
dock.

At approximately 1pm today I saw a turkey vulture lift off from an area
near Torbram and Walker in Brampton. It was alternately flapping with short
circular glides. As I was driving I couldn't watch for too long, not sure
if it was hanging around or moving on.

At approximately 3:20pm today my wife and I observed a rather late snowy
owl. It was perched on top of a lamp post on the north side of Highway 402,
just west of the Centre St. interchange, opposite the Variform factory.

While helping my wife with a fun fair at West Hill Public School today, I
was also able to enjoy the sight of quite a few chimney swifts cavorting
close by during the morning set-up. Don't know where the colony might be
roosting, but there were enough to make me believe that they are local, and

Today at about noon I observed a Shrike in the old orchard area at the extreme
east end of Courtneypark Rd, on the western edge of Pearson International
Airport. It was at a distance of approximately 10 metres, I was in a moving
car, and I had no binoculars with me for a better identification, b
After spying the Dickcissels today we took the kids over to Pearson to see the
Antonov 124, a HUGE freighter parked at the west cargo area. Driving out we
found an Upland Sandpiper, Bartramia longicauda.

Travelling on the Burlington Skyway today at 12:30 I saw 2 Bald Eagles, one
which appeared to be an adult over Hamilton Harbour, and a subadult a little
further north near the Fairview interchange. Both were soaring and circling at
approximately 100 metres.

actually Courtneypark, all one word.
