Today at around 10a.m. we saw one *black backed woodpecker f*ly over as we
were standing in the place where we saw 4 boreal chickadees last Sunday 9
December. The location is on the trail just off the Eardley-Masham Road at
Ramsay Lake where earlier sightings have taken place, about 500 metres in
is up this way from the Ottawa area this weekend, it's worth a
visit (some bugs but not too many yet).

plentiful, with about 50 at the feeders this morning.
This is my first post on Ontbirds, so I hope I've followed all the rules. I
realize that these are not Ontario sightings, but thought they might be of
interest to birders from Ottawa and environs.
