to see the LeConte's Sparrow then, it's in just about the same
area, just nearer to the fence than the pond.

While waiting for the ferry, I found a juvenile Yellow-crowned Night Heron
perched on the dock on the southern edge of the marina at South Baymouth on
Manitoulin. The marina is immediately to the west of the entrance to the
Chi-Cheemaun ferry dock. Unfortunately, the bird flew inland about half an
The Arctic Tern I found yesterday has returned to the pier at Bronte
Harbour in Oakville. Kevin McLaughlin has been watching it and confirms
that it's an Arctic Tern.
>From the QEW, take Bronte Road south all the way to the end. The pier is
just to the west of the end of the road. There's parking
of the pier.

I've just found an American Avocet in a flooded field in Oakville, on Sixth
Line north of Dundas Street. From the QEW, take Trafalgar Road north to
Dundas Street, then left on Dundas and right on Sixth Line. The avocet is
in a flooded field on the west side of Sixth Line, just before 3380 Sixth
The Summer Tanager found earlier today by Dennis Dirigal in Richard Jones

greenish wings.
Richard Jones Park is in Mississauga. From the QEW, take Hurontario St

The Cerulean Warbler at Ashbridge's is still present. Look for it high up
in the willows along the driveway to the south parking lot, just past a
fallen willow surrounded by yellow caution tape. It's not singing often, so
patience is required.

The Le Conte's is still present, giving magnificent views to a group of us
here. It's at the southeast corner of the pond, just to the west of the
paved path about a hundred metres west of the water tower.

take Highway 6 north to Guelph; turn left at
Paisley Road, then left again at Elmira Road, and immediately left again
onto Stephanie Drive. Cherrywood Drive is the very next street on the
right, and the bird has generally been seen within a hundred metre or so
radius of this intersection.

No longer present at 8:30 pm. Several of us searched the area but couldn't
refind them. Good luck to anyone searching for them tomorrow.

Tom Miller and I are currently watching three Cave Swallows at Bronte
Bluffs Park in Oakville. They are quite close to shore and easily viewable
with binoculars.
>From the QEW, take Bronte Road south to Lakeshore Road. Turn right on
Lakeshore and then the first left across the bridge, which is
looking for shorebirds should take some time to
scan the cormorants as well. It would be fantastic to get a confirmation
that this is really a Great Cormorant.
