Ontbirds and Birdnews are moderated email Listservs provided by the Ontario
Field Ornithologists (OFO) as a service to all birders in Ontario.
Ontbirds is reserved for sightings of
about an hour
from 1:00 to 2:00pm.
The access a viewing area, take 12 E from Hwy 11. Turn S on West Street, then
W on Kitchener St. You can view from Kitchener Park, or by the bridge over the
small inflow creek.

Just found a single, basic plumage AmAv at the Colborne Ponds. Bird is
presently on the far E shore behind some Mallards and Canada Geese.
Colborne Ponds are on Hwy 35, just N of Hwy 7 in Lindsay, Ont.

The Bank of Montreal is on the Main Street (Highland St) in the village of
Haliburton. The catbird was in the crabapple farthest from the road on the
East side of the bank.

Just found a classic male Brewster's Warbler singing a Blue-wing song.
Hwy 121 S of Minden. Just before the large hydro corridorabout 75N of
Scott sign.

Good winter bird up this wayjust found a male Wood Duck in the open water
east of Norland. Also present are 13 Trumpeter Swans.
>From Norland (Hwy 35), travel east on Cty Rd 45 until you near Buller Rd.

Hi all,
Just a heads up for gull watchers on Niagara River this weekend..
This evening at 4:05, Jim Hopkins and I had a basic adult Black-headed Gull fly
by in a flock of Bonies. I haven't seen any reports of this species recently.
