The 39th CBC in North Bay was conducted on Dec.17th by 17 Field surveyors
and 11 Feeder watchers. It was -8C and windy in the open. Recent cold weather
reduced the open water and hence waterfowl species and numbers. No Gulls were
observed, unusual for this count. One high count was made - 16
) for delicious Potluck and an exciting tally with
all the day's tales told. Thank-you Marc and Irene!

Sighted at 4:20pm., while on return home from viewing the Brambling in North
Bay! Very snow white individual, perched on hydro pole on Chiswick Line, about
1 km. east of highway 11. Chiswick Line is accessed from Hwy 11 at the south
end of Powassan. Snowy Owl frequented this location often last
