Today at about 1 pm I stopped in at Mohawk Lake and found a Slaty-backed
Gull. The gulls flush very easily, so walk up very slowly after you park.
The gulls all flushed due to an eagle or vulture when I was there, but they
did start to come back.

The male Tufted Duck is in Windermere Basin in Hamilton. It can be viewed
from the lookout. It was to the right in the channel mixed in with scaup.
Windermere Basin is located off Eastport Drive in Hamilton, just NW of the
lights at Beach Blvd.

About half hour ago three of us had a large dark swift fly over us at the
tip right at the tram loop. It was larger than a Purple Martin with stiff
wing beats. There is a large group of swallows and swifts in the area. Just
wanted to get the word out.
Point Pelee is south of Leamington.
Does anyone know if the Ruff if still present today?

I saw a post on Facebook that there was a Piping Plover in Port Dover on
the beach yesterday. I went at lunch today and it is still there.
Take Highway 6 South to Port Dover and drive straight on Walker St. to the
lake. Check the beach.

I am stopped at Dry Lake in Haldimand and have 49 Greater White Fronted
Geese on the water here. I haven't checked to see if there are more out of
site yet.
Dry Lake is on Dry Lake Road between Townline Road West and Talbot Road in
Haldimand, just outside of Haggersville.

My friend Mourad had the bird this evening close to shore near the east
side of the park. It appears that it is a Western Grebe. He sent me a photo
as well.
I had long distance looks at it around lunch near the west side of the park.

We had the Slaty-backed from the Canadian side at the control gates about
an hour or so ago. The bird flew up river and we are trying to see if it
came back.
This would not be visible from the American side when we located it, but it
may be back over there now out of our view.

The Black-headed Gull is present this morning at Whirlpool.
An adult Little Gull is in this area as well.It flew up river after
watching it for a little while.

The Northern Hawk Owl was present this morning at approx 11:30 am in the
same location as previously reported.
There were also 4 Bohemian Waxwings that made a brief appearance nearby
