Folks:
In talking to someone at work, it turns out they saw a 'large striking dark
bird with very delineated white wingtips and white elsewhere on the body". We
googled BlackBilled Magpie and without hesitation they pointed out the flying
bird.
Please be aware that the bird was spotted sometime
Folks... Just on my way to West Perth and found the Snowy Owl in the NW
quadrant of the Sunshine Line and Hwy 83 intersection.

For those tracking "late" dates, I just had a Snowy Owl on 83 highway just west
of Sunshine Line, east of Exeter, Huron Cty. The owl was in the plowed field
north of the highway.
Now to see what might be at West Perth Wetlands.

Folks...
This afternoon, at 17:15, while sitting on the porch watching the world go by,
I had a Common Nighthawk fly East to West over the south end of town at quite a
distance. Having run inside to get the bins, I lost the bird. After 10 minutes
of patient porch sitting, the bird was spotted at

At 10:30 this morning, I had 2 Red-necked Phalaropes(a juvenile and a molting
adult) in the second cell at Exeter lagoons. For a brief time, they appeared to
be joined by a 3rd phalarope which I took to be a non-breeding adult Wilson's
Phalarope. It acted more skittish than the other tw
