North Bay Christmas Bird Count, December 14, 2019 - Preliminary Results
Abundant or Increased Counts: Red Breasted Nuthatches,Blue Jays, American
Crows and European Starlings each tripled their last year totals; American
Tree Sparrows were well counted and American Goldfinch numerous.
The 39th CBC in North Bay was conducted on Dec.17th by 17 Field surveyors
and 11 Feeder watchers. It was -8C and windy in the open. Recent cold weather
reduced the open water and hence waterfowl species and numbers. No Gulls were
observed, unusual for this count. One high count was made - 16

The North Bay Christmas Bird Count was held on December 14 with 18 field
observers and 4 feeder watchers. Highlights of the count were a Snowy Owl
(second time on count), a Red-tail Hawk, a Carolina Wren, a Rough-legged Hawk
during count week, an accipiter species during count week, 1007
