As has been abundantly documented, the Townsend's Solitaire was seen by many today. The best place to look for the bird today (and where a number of us observed it) was from where the driveway of house #8671 meets Langstaff Road. The bird seems to like perching in the top of some of the trees

The Townsend's solitaire was seen this morning at 11:30 am. It was seen in the trees in the valley across from 8712 Langstaff road. Also present were 2 Evening grosbeaks and a Red-bellied woodpecker. Directions Langstaff road is the third road east of Newtonville road/Kendal village. From 401
