Hey,
I had 18 Greater White-fronted Geese at Beachville high pond this afternoon.
The birds were only in the flooded fields for a few minutes before disappearing
rapidly westward. Lots of diurnal movement nearby as well, with 4 Sandhills
cranes very high, a 2nd cycle Iceland Gull following th
At 1:00 pm today there were three White-fronted Geese sitting on a small island
in the middle of the pit.
To get there, go west on Highway 89 from Alliston. At the 4th concession turn
right (north). Drive to the next intersection. Turn left (west) onto the 5th
sideroad. The pit is on the right
Two, amidst a flock of early-arriving (here) Canada Geese on Maple Ridge Road,
just west of Powassan. Powassan is some 3 uninterrupted hours due north of
Toronto, along hwy 11.

They are with Canadas on the north side seen from Baskin Drive. The GWFs

9 white-fronted geese with 200+ Canada geese east of 30 road, Grimsby. Exit
QEW at Christie St , go south up the escarpment (where it becomes Mountain Rd.
) Cross over Mud St. Go on to Young St and turn left ( east). They are in a
corn field on the south side just past Industrial Park Road.
There are currently two White-fronted Geese among 500 Canadas at Deidrick Creek
where it crosses the First Concession northwest of Port Rowan. Both birds
appear to be different from the individual that was seen on the causeway
earlier this morning.

Hi Ont-Birders; Today the Bruce Birding Club went to Grand Bend to see the
5000 + tundra swans reported by Maris Apse. The swans were mostly seen at a
distance but their calls could be easily heard through the damp air. The
group was lucky enough to see 5 white-fronted geese near Greenway Road. In
The 13 Greater White-fronted Geese reported yesterday afternoon by local
birders to the Middlesex-Elgin Listserv were still present this morning
at Aylmer WMA along with 500+ Canada Geese and 1000+ Mallards.

Geese moved between the river and the main harbour in Port Hope today,
Friday, January 26th. Then just after 4pm they took off, circled the
