Hi,
After spending the weekend in the rain and wind we got the basic adult
California gull around 5 p.m. Sunday afternoon. It was on a pillar in the
inner Wheatley harbour. A Michigan birder reported seeing it earlier in the
afternoon. Presumably the same bird that Dean Ware reported on Friday.
Pelee Listers,
At 4:15 today I found a basic adult California Gull on the east side of
Wheatley Harbour resting on the beach area ,the usual resting spot for
gulls. The bird has a mantle colour slightly darker than that of the
surrounding Herring Gulls. So take the time to search! Alan Wormin
