Asterisk/Trixbox Help required
Looking for someone to Help configure a Trixbox 2.2 install in Oakville
area. PBX is setup and installed with Trixbox, Digium card with 2 FXOs and 5
Grandstream IP phones. Configuration/tweaking is required.

We have several at work, got it from CanadianVoipStore.com and they work great.
It is been over a year since we got them.
We use them along with Eyebeam (which also supports video) and didn't have much
of a trouble.

Just wondering if anyone can help:
I am trying to bind a local Linux machine to a fixed local IP address
(e.g. 192.168.0.160) -- so that it does not change an IP every time I
restart it.
Any idea how I can do it? Thanks.

Alex,
Easiest way is to reserve an IP for the machine in your DHCP server
utilizing the servers MAC address.
Assuming your router is linux it would look like this:
host AsteriskServerName{
hardware ethernet 00:00:00:aa:aa:aa;
*fixed*-address 192.168.0.160;

Do they make an IP phone where one can plug in a PSTN line as well as the
normal CAT5 connectivity?
So, the phone can receieve calls, make calls and even conference calls from
PSTN and VOIP channels?

A few things, if you do not reserve the IP in the DHCP server you won't
get name resolution on your LAN for the machine, which may not be a big
deal. And if you don't want to do the DHCP reserve for it, then on
Centos 4.5 you can:

The Panasonic 2-line phones (KX-TG6500, KX-TG6700) can conference the
2 lines. You can connect one line to the PSTN and the other to an ATA.
