I have a ewe with a one week old lamb. The lamb was nursing for most of the first week, but now seems not to be. The ewe seems very sensitive around the udder and maybe is dry. We are having trouble holding to her, but aren't getting milk when we try to milk her. I am bottle feeding now and

from my experience .. . A shot of oxytocin (from vet - this is an RX med) (sp?) will make her let down milk if she has any - if she is sick - maybe a uterus infection, she needs to be treated for the infection. Did she pass her afterbirth ok? Does she have a bad discharge from the birth
