OK... well, my little screenshots page has pretty much migrated to a
blackbox site. I've just displayed my desktop, and explained all the apps
that I use (well, some of them).

Ok, I'll give, he does block it fairly well. Maybe he could make the link
a little clearer, or break BB off his main menu. My 13 yo daughter uses
BB, she's "dumb" enough to click through and I don't want to deal with the
nightmares.

and could make blackbox look bad.

eally too much else that you'd need to

i've been able to find almost every piece of information i was looking for
within 3 clicks of the blackbox main page.

it/them up-to-date.
(The mailing list archive is a good starting point for the NEWS section
of the site and for the FAQ.)
